I have returned to Psalm 42 so often, just trembling and thinking “Lord, please. Please be near to my heart, as nothing else seems to be working in my life.” As I create lists in my mind of all the things that are going so terribly wrong, I am brought to this passage and am reminded of the hope that will always return to my soul.
I relate to this psalmist deeply as he is reminded of God’s promise to him; that things are bad, but they will not always be so. I pray that as you wear this shirt these words will echo in your mind or that you would echo this to someone near to you who is in the midst of the battle.
